Tony and Dewey

An Ohio native, Tony lived in Arizona, California, Colorado, and South Carolina while a student. Originally pursuing a career in academia, he taught anatomy & physiology and exercise science courses, worked in a biochemistry lab and as a personal trainer, and was an avid mountain biker, triathlete, and skier.

In 1999, while completing the final obstacle of a multi-sport event in San Diego, Tony fractured his 4-6 cervical vertebrae, rendering him paralyzed him from his chest down. Following rehab, Tony and his wife Ashley founded Rapid Motion to help others with disabilities via teaching and increasing spinal cord injury awareness. Along with Ashley and Dewey, Tony now lives in Richmond and is the director of a web and graphic design studio.
