Service Dogs of Virginia is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that relies on donations from individuals, corporations and foundation grants to do our work. Monetary donations are always appreciated and tax deductible!
It costs as much as $18,000 to raise and train a service dog over a period of two and a half years. We need your help to make it work. Any level of giving will support our efforts and help off set some of the many expense associated with raising and training these remarkable dogs.
Financial contributions help us get the work done!
- $25 supports monthly dog medications
- $50 feeds a dog for a month
- $75 fills a Suburban gas tank to transport dogs for a week
- $300 makes a client’s doggie take home kit
- $500 provides hip and elbow x-rays
- $1000 buys a puppy
- $2000 covers veterinary expenses for 2 months
- $3,500 underwrites total client team training
- $5,000 supports one puppy training
- $10,000 supports one dog’s advanced training
- $18,000 pays to complete one dog from puppy to placement your corporate sponsor logo goes on a service dog out in community

When you make an online tribute donation we mail the recipient a card for you with your customized message. We do not mention the amount of your gift in the cards, and can keep the donation anonymous if you prefer.
